Under
the direction of an experienced beekeeper, the trainees volunteer to
maintain and care for the bees. They learn to gather and bottle the honey for sale at the local
farmers' markets. The proceeds from the sale
of the honey are divided among the trainees who work with the
bees. |

The trainees are responsible for checking the hives regularly and insuring that the bees are healthy. |

Once the
trainees collect the raw honey. The next step is
to carefully package it. Then, it's off to the farmer's markets to sell
their honey. |
