| The Our House program stands out from the myriad of programs for "at-risk" youth because of its all-inclusive approach developed at its inception in 1993. This highly structured program includes five eight-hour days of "hands-on" training in carpentry, drywall and roofing, as well as life skills' training, academics and therapy sessions in the evenings. | |||||||||||

| The goal is for each trainee to leave Our House equipped with a trade, the academic tools, and the social skills needed in order to function as a working tax-paying adult. | Our Trainees are setting the foundation for a lifetime of solid work ethics: - They learn the importance of being on-time - They learn how to use and maintain tools - They learn how to interact with bosses and co-workers - They earn and manage sick leave - They begin to take pride in their work |
