Volunteer Tutors, Aides, & Drivers

Our House trainees have been the most fortunate recipients of the tireless commitment of hundreds of volunteers.  Volunteers working along side of our trainees have participated in academic classes, construction projects, recreational outings, and religious services.  They have acted as life skills' speakers, drivers, tutors, program aides, and mentors.  Perhaps the most important gift from these folks has been the opportunity for our trainees to meet and interact with people who only come to work with them and demand nothing in return.

We need....

Our academic tutors are an integral part of our academic program. They work with the trainees in their classes - Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings - often providing one on one instruction.  Volunteers also provide individual tutoring sessions during the week for our trainees who request additional assistance.         Volunteers have made outstanding contributions to the program.   Local community organizations have provided volunteers who have spearheaded projects and fundraisers that directly benefit the young men of Our House.  A volunteer started our organic gardens, our beekeeping, and our pottery classes.  Several volunteers over the years have become employees.
