Our Collaborators & Supporters

Hospice Caring
H. C. is a support and counseling service that assists families of terminally ill people. We help them set up for their fundraising and PR events.  They do grief/separation group counseling with our trainees.

Boy Scouts of America
We host the Scouts as they use our fields and woods for their spring and fall camporees.  They complete service projects on our farm - building fences, removing heavy brush, re-building the dam at our pond.

Sandy Spring Museum
The trainees constructed a large storage building for the museum.  They also help the museum set up for its annual Strawberry Festival.  In return, the museum invites the trainees to its exhibits and concerts, and helped us raise money for our passenger van.

Lions Club
We help the Lions every spring distribute thousands of bags of mulch to the community at their "Mulch Madness" event. The Lions provide vision checks and glasses for our trainees.

Greater Olney Civic Association (GOCA)
We help the Association set up for their annual events - Fireworks, Parades, Community Days, Nights Out, etc.  GOCA helps us with Life Skills speakers, automotive repairs, and clothing.

Montgomery General Hospital
We support their fundraisers and barbeques by setting up tables, chairs, and tents. The trainees sort and organize thousands of books for the hospital's annual book sale. In return, the hospital donates to us their extra office furniture and consult for us on medical issues.

Howard County Partnership -- Aging in Place
In 1999, Our House partnered with the Howard County, MD. Department of Aging in a pilot program of "retro-fitting" the homes of senior citizens with wheelchair ramps and other safety features to enable them to remain in their homes despite handicaps or infirmity.

Marriott and Wells Fargo
Employees of the Marriott Corporation and Wells Fargo volunteer annually  at the farm planting shrubs, painting and repairing buildings and much more
