Executive Director, Founder |
The mission of Our House is to provide the opportunity for at-risk adolescents to become productive members of their communities by participation in a rigorous residential program of "hands-on" instruction in carpentry and other construction skills during the day, academic and life skills classes in the evenings, and weekly community service projects.
It is our expectation that each student during his enrollment at Our House will develop positive attitudes, will practice constructive behaviors, will receive training in a viable trade, will attain the educational competence in reading, writing and mathematics necessary to pass the GED, and will learn independent living and life skills in order to become a contributing tax-paying member of society.
